Job description

We are searching for a Grant Manager for the department of Cognitive Neuroscience. As a Grant Manager, you will coordinate, support and oversee all reporting activities to EU and other grant bodies. You keep a keen eye on data and privacy issues and, deliverables and results. You will be involved in the preparation of new grant proposals, and support dissemination and public engagement.

The department of Cognitive Neuroscience, Radboudumc and the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour have been increasingly successful in acquiring large consortium and individual grants from European and national funding bodies. The management of these grants requires proper support at the levels of administration and reporting, human resources and finances for the Principal Investigators, coordinators and/or work package leaders of these studies.

You will work with the Principal Investigators of the department, supporting them in preparation of the proposals, building consortia and contract negotiations. You will have a role in the organization of international consortium meetings and will participate in the meetings. You also will work closely with the Valorization department, legal and finance teams to ensure successful implementation of the projects.

 

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage and support execution of complex grants with regard to administration, reporting, meeting organization, ethics approval, data basing and archiving. 
  • Spot new grants opportunities.
  • Support preparation and submission of new grants. 
  • Interact with all relevant stakeholders. 
  • Work in an interdisciplinary team.

The project is embedded in the unique and excellent infrastructure of the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, a world-class research center devoted to understanding the mechanistic underpinnings of cognition and behavior in health and disease. Research into stress-related and neurodevelopmental disorders is an important focus area at Radboud university medical center. Profile

You hold a MSc or PhD degree and have experience with project management, preferably in international research projects. Knowledge of EC guidelines and regulations is highly valued.

You have excellent oral and written skills in both Engish and Dutch. With a dedication to language learning, non-native speakers can effortlessly master the intricacies of both Dutch and English, both written and spoken, in a matter of just one year. Possessing exceptional communication abilities, you are able to cultivate lasting relationships built on trust and mutual understanding.

In addition, you are a driven individual who excels under pressure, focused on results, and capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Your approach is innovative and proactive, and you continuously seek new and creative solutions to challenges, striving for progress and growth.
