What You’ll Do

The Associate Marketing Product Manager (APM) will help support all downstream marketing initiatives for the expansion of NeurOptics pupillometry product adoption worldwide, supporting all clinical marketing aspects of our product management. With the critical care and emergency services community as the primary customer, the APM will work closely with regulatory, sales and in-house teams to develop and launch best-in-class tools for physician customers and our field sales organization. The candidate in this position will work closely with our Customers and the NeurOptics Sales Team to develop, launch and train to new sales tools to accelerate adoption of pupillometry across all clinical indications.

 

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with members of the Marketing and our Sales Team to develop, launch and reinforce sales campaigns through engagement with the Company’s field sales organization and health care professionals.
  • Support the planning and execution of new product launches.
  • Attend trade shows and events to capture clinician feedback and promote the adoption of pupillometry as the standard of care worldwide.
  • Comply with all regulatory and clinical requirements in marketing materials and messaging.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Marketing and senior staff of NeurOptics.
  • Assess market and competitive technology offerings and become a recognized expert on the product and relevant technology.
  • Partner with Sales Management and Marketing on sales training and field education on the procedure and marketing strategies.

 

New Hire Training and Continued Professional Development

We invest in professional education to ensure our sales and marketing professionals are trained professionals who are prepared to meaningfully represent our products to our customers across the spectrum of clinical areas and medical specialties where the neurological patient is treated. Upon hire, the APM will enter a comprehensive training program which combines training in the areas of product knowledge and clinical applications, large-group presentation skills, and product management skills training. Ongoing professional development will continue throughout the career of the NeurOptics representative.

 

What Skills You’ll Need

  • MBA preferably in marketing/business with undergraduate degree in neuroscience or bioengineering.
  • Clinical experience or biological/neuroscience coursework strongly recommended
  • 1-2 years of work experience, focusing on project management, sales or marketing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong empathy for the Customer
  • Solid technical background with experience in standard software products
  • Able to convert product/customer feedback into valuable insights that can help drive the development of new products
  • Leadership skills experience in previous positions or education environments is essential
  • Excellent project or program management experience in previous leadership positions
  • Design skills to come up with innovative and creative solutions, working hand in hand with design
  • Ability to competently represent the Company at professional functions and customer meetings
  • Capability to work independently and drive projects across multiple functional areas
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary
  • Computer skills: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
  • Ability to travel 25%

The position is office-based in Irvine and is not a remote position.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The Associate Product Manager position is office-based and is not a remote position. Quarterly territory travel is a fundamental job component, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license is required.

The Associate Product Manager position requires frequent driving, sitting, standing, and walking. This position requires standing for extended periods when facilitating customer meetings or walking in hospitals and clinics. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.
