Job Description
As a Senior IT Support based in our office in Cluj-Napoca, you will assist the IT team in various activities and help our teams with providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly.
You will be working in close collaboration with a talented team based in Switzerland, demonstrating outstanding technical competence, critical infrastructure and optimal performance, whilst ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
In this role, we’ll count on you to:
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, escalating more complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement process improvements
- Provide training and technical support to end-users: Train end-users on how to use hardware and software applications, and provide ongoing support to ensure that they are using these tools effectively.
- Perform hardware / software benchmarking (Setup the procedure of the benchmark, Find the important aspects, Design hardware, Execute it), Create software to automate the benchmarking procedure (if possible) and wrap-up results of the executed benchmarks to help making a decision
- Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Have solid knowledge of Confluence/Jira, File sharing solutions (Owncloud)
- SSO integration (LDAP/Kerberos) over multiple sites and tools, test environment deployment and development is a plus
- Perform technical testing & prepare technical documentation
- Product provisioning / deployment support (Design, implement and develop tools for provisioning, create dedicated scripts for provisioning or re-provisioning like data gathering, services management, automatise the provisioning process as much as possible, document and validate the images
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support
- Excellent understanding of Linux, MAC and Windows operating system and standard applications (MS Office, Mail, Gsuite…)
- Windows (Powershell, batch, regedit, services, etc.) & Linux scripting is mandatory
- Competence with Windows automated deployment administration (ADK, DISM, etc)
- At ease with Atlassian’s suite
- Fluency in English is indispensable (minimum B2 Level, written & spoken)
- Assist in new tools implementation – Collaboration tools such as Atlassian
- Expertise with Mobile device management (MDM)
- Effective planning, organizational skills and problem solving capability
- Able to work on own initiative and as a team player
