Our Cloud Software Engineer – Remote is a key Teammate and Cloud Advocate on complex projects with high business impact at Natus Medical. • You LOVE Microsoft Azure Cloud and thrive on educating different parts of the business about the benefits of Cloud
• You would enjoy designing Azure Cloud components for SaMD (Software as Medical Device) and SaaS (Software as a Service) and carrying out low-level test plans

Location: This role can be based out of a Natus site or Remote in the USA Central/Eastern Time Zone.

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in user, product and software requirements discussion and analysis
• Contribute the definition and documentation of software architecture
• Write and review detailed software technical specifications
• Create and update design documentation throughout lifecycle and review designs of others
• Implement performant and reliable software components and services
• Create and execute unit test plans and review the plans of others
• Assist less experienced engineers in design, implementation and debugging of complex software
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies and apply that knowledge to create cloud software for one or more products
• Drive cross domain cooperation between the ensuring knowledge sharing

Travel Required: up to 20% domestic or international travel on a project need basis

Qualifications 

• Bachelor of Computer Science or related and 5+ years’ software development experience in a heavily regulated industry coding hands on with C# .net. A combination of education and experience may be considered 
• High proficiency with Azure Cloud. You have designed components and led projects
• High proficiency with design principles and patterns
• High proficiency with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, WPF, with at least 5 years’ development experience using one or more of these technologies
• High proficiency with web services such as SOAP, REST, or Web API
• High proficiency using GitHub, Azure DevOps Git repos, or similar
• Experience with one or more Test Automation tools / frameworks
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluent with both Agile and Waterfall SDLCs
• Experience using Docker or Kubernetes
• Working knowledge of web technologies, HTML, CSS, Web Frameworks
• Proficient with debuggers and profilers

Desirable Qualifications (Optional)

• Working knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 preferred
• Understanding of HL7, FHIR (health standards) and SQLite/SQL Server is desirable
• Experience with Perforce, JIRA, Agile PLM or similar tools desired

USA Benefits:

Natus offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefit package that starts on your 1st day, 401k match, 9 paid holidays, generous paid time off plan (4 weeks to start) and tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually. The salary range is 91,300 – 135,000 USD to start Based on Experience/Regional Cost of Living and 4% Bonus Structure.
