We are seeking a Graduate Electronics/Mechanical Engineer who will support the development of the electronics, packaging, and mechanical reliability of our implantable medical devices. You will be responsible for circuit building and testing, testing mechanical Insertion and removal techniques and device performance analytics. You will work cross-functionally with other members of the engineering team to prepare a robust, scalable medical device.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop rigs for mechanical testing.
  • Provide detailed reports on device performance analytics (mechanical and electrical).
  • Implement, test, and debug electronic circuits.
  • Electrical characterisation of electrodes and materials.
  • Support the development and testing of hermetic packaging.
  • Coordinate with engineering projects to ensure parallel integration throughout product development cycle.
  • Support the development of future product pipeline.

 

Qualifications/Key skills

  • MS in engineering, physics, material science or equivalent (preferred specialisation: electronics, mechanical, materials or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb time management.
  • A growth mindset.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to work collaboratively within a close team setting.
  • A visceral need to be working on the toughest problems.

 

Bonus Skills

  • Previous experience in a technical role.
  • Familiarity with medical device development.
  • Knowledge of electronics design, building and testing.
  • Knowledge of mechanical/materials failure testing.
  • Experience working with external consultants, manufacturers, or suppliers.
