Job Description

We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of Android devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. The application’s focus will be around consuming REST APIs, storing and working with data offline, and displaying the data in a user-friendly fashion. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and build applications for Android 
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Analyze and optimize Android applications for efficiency and performance 
• Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high-quality work on a tight schedule 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science 
• 5+ years of significant Kotlin and Android Studio experience 
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Bonus points for experience with Realm / MongoDB 
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Experience writing and automating unit tests

• Salary: $125,000 – $135,000, based on skills and experience
