Senior Surgical Education & Training Specialist
Overview
The Senior Surgical Education and Training Specialist at Advanced Bionics will:
- Implement and deliver customer education at the surgical level within the North American and Global markets.
- Implement and deliver surgical training to internal AB staff.
- Collaborate with Global Education and Training to develop and execute surgical strategy that maintains technology momentum, creates AB preference, and engages customers.
What you’ll do:
- Facilitate and support surgical on-site and off-site KOL-led engagements as the AB lead to drive AB preference and engage customers. The AB lead serves as the expert on teaching customers the value and benefits of AB technology to support their business and patient management, and leverages the hands-on surgical knowledge of the KOL to support AB business.
- Define, coordinate, and lead the execution of education on the value and benefits of AB’s surgical portfolio to AB customers through in-person and virtual training.
- Support launch of new surgical devices, including creating and delivering training and messaging globally.
- Develop internal-facing and external-facing educational curriculum based on internal know-how (in agreement with R&T, R&D, Clinical Research, and Product Marketing) in video, eLearning, presentation, and PDF formats to engage surgeons to drive AB differentiation and preference.
- Define, coordinate, and lead the execution of continued internal training efforts to ensure that Global AB staff members represent the safe, effective, and best use of Class III Medical Devices to adequately support surgical customers.
- Manage technical information related to AB surgical products throughout the product lifecycle, maintaining and documenting global knowledge base.
- Support overall Global Education and Training and Marketing initiatives, including developing and delivering professional and consumer-facing educational materials and training.
- Manage timelines and collaborate interdepartmentally to execute projects on deadlines and within budget .
- Other duties as assigned.
Travelling Requirement: Up to 40%
What you bring to the team:
Education: Degree in Audiology (Masters, AuD, or other) or BS / BA in science or business area
Work Experience
- 3-5 years in training or sales in an audiological or medical device setting
- Understanding of how CI surgery is performed and relevant anatomy related to CI
Personal Competencies: Understanding of the value that a strong training program can bring to a company
Social Competencies: Strong communicator (written and verbal) and polished presenter
Professional Competencies: Ability to work effectively across multiple functions to drive projects from concept to completion; passion and ability to develop and deliver impactful training
Nice to Have: CRM proficiency
Language(s)/ Level: English/ Fluent
Nice to Have: Language skills in addition to English
Further Requirements: Must be willing and available to travel domestically and internationally

Pay Ranges(SoCal): $90,852/yr – $136,278/yr
