About the Role:

Inscopix, a subsidiary of Bruker, is a leading company in the field of neurocircuit research. We are seeking a talented scientist with a commercial mindset to join our team as a Field Scientific Consultant to support our customer in Asia and Australia. As the Field Scientific Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer success and expanding our customer base through effective post-sales training, scientific consultation on experimental design and data analysis, and field marketing strategies. You will also collaborate with our sales team and distributors for pre-sales presentations. Responsibilities:

  • Increase awareness of Inscopix solutions within the assigned territory through various marketing strategies.
  • Participate in pre-sales meetings by presenting technical content and seminars to potential clients, highlighting the benefits of Inscopix solutions.
  • Provide post-sales customer relationship management, new product updates, technical training, project consultation, and procedural support to customers through both web-based and onsite methods.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and Inscopix’s Product Development team to bring customer ideas and challenges into our product development strategy and priorities.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction by engaging with them frequently, resolving any complaints in a timely manner, and ensuring ethical commercial practices in accordance with corporate policy.
  • Present a professional image at all times when interacting with customers and vendors, adhering to Inscopix’s high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior.
  • May provide support to other regional territories as needed

 

Requirements:

  • This is a remote position covering multiple countries in the APAC region, including Australia, China, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.
  • A PhD in Neuroscience or a closely related field in the Biological Sciences is required for this role.
  • We are seeking a candidate with expertise in deep brain calcium imaging (1P/2P), fiber photometry, in vivo calcium imaging, in vivo electrophysiology, and/or optogenetics.
  • Prior experience conducting experiments with the Inscopix nVista or nVoke system is a significant plus.
  • The ideal candidate should possess proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for applying scientific rigor to help others troubleshoot scientific and experimental problems.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills are required, with particular experience presenting technical topics in both academic and industry settings.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential, as the successful candidate will need to work effectively and productively, both independently and within a team-centric environment.
  • The candidate should possess outstanding customer advocacy, listening, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers.
  • This role requires a willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required, with native /bilingual Proficiency proficiency in speaking and writing.
  • Fluency in English is required, with business-level proficiency in speaking and writing.
  • Preferred location: Taiwan
