The Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN) is a dynamic work environment focused on high-level education and research. For the upcoming academic year, we are looking for a new colleague with a background in psychology. Will you join our great team?

 

As a lecturer within FPN:

  • You provide education within one or more faculty programs, at least in the Bachelor’s program Psychology;
  • You serve as a tutor during different blocks;
  • You deliver skills training;
  • You supervise students in writing their thesis;
  • You are involved as a mentor in the individual development of our students.

 

Furthermore, you contribute to:

  • The organization and collaboration within the Section of Teaching and Innovation of Learning (STIL) and within the faculty;
  • The innovation of education and teaching through evidence-based procedures;
  • Coaching student tutors working within the faculty.

 

Functie-eisen

As a lecturer within FPN, you are there for the students. Therefore, you are motivated to provide 100% of your appointment for teaching. In addition to a passion for education, you have:

  • Completed an academic degree in Psychology;
  • Affinity with problem-based learning and experience in group supervision;
  • Affinity with neuropsychology, work and organizational psychology, or health/social psychology;
  • Good oral and written communication skills/
  • You are sociable and possess excellent organizational skills.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

As a teacher at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience, you will be employed by the most international university of the Netherlands, located in the beautiful city of Maastricht. In addition, we offer you:

  • Good employment conditions. The position is in grated in scale 10 according to the UFO profile Teacher, function level 4 with corresponding salary ranging from € 2.960,- to € 4.670,- gross per month (based on a full-time employment of 38 hours per week). In addition to the monthly salary, an 8.0% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus are applicable.
  • An employment contract for a period of 1 years with a workload of 0.8-1.0 FTE. If proven suitable, the employment contract will be converted into an indefinite contract.
  • As a holder of the ‘Family-friendly University’ quality mark, we offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work partly from home if the nature of your position allows it. You will receive a monthly commuting and internet allowance for this. If you work full-time, you will be entitled to 29 vacation days and 4 additional public holidays per year, namely carnival Monday, carnival Tuesday, Good Friday, and Liberation Day. If you choose to accumulate compensation hours, an additional 12 days will be added. Furthermore, you can personalize your employment conditions through a collective labor agreement (CAO) choice model.
  • As Maastricht University, we offer various other excellent secondary employment conditions. These include a good pension scheme with the ABP and the opportunity for UM employees to participate in company fitness and make use of the extensive sports facilities that we also offer to our students.
