Research Software Engineer (f/m/d)

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Develop mobile apps and software solutions from concept to implementation
• Maintain and further develop dedicated CI research software interfaces and platforms
• Perform verification of developed software solutions and related hardware systems, taking regulatory requirement for medical class III devices into account
• Perform bench-testing of research software and firmware systems. Capture test data, generate test reports and other supporting documentation according to the research and development process
• Define software solutions by actively seeking input from stakeholders to understand opportunities, constraints and objectives of features and workflows
• Facilitate joint development of mobile app prototypes with AB R&D (Valencia, California), Sonova R&D (Stäfa, Switzerland)

Your Profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, Physics or a related field
• Experience in mobile software engineering (ideally in a research context and/or in medical device industry)
• Experience in iOS software development using Swift
• Experience in .NET software development using C#
• Experience in either of C/C++, Kotlin, MATLAB/Simulink or Python is considered a plus
• Experience in mobile software UI/X design is considered a plus
• Clear presentation and communication style
• Analytic research attitude
• Willingness to travel up to 30 days per year
• Team worker, also in cross-functional teams
• Fluent in spoken and written English, German is considered a plus
