Audio Embedded Systems Engineers

Montréal, Canada         ·         Full time

Engineers with 4 years of experience in the following areas:

Basic skills: 

• Speech enhancement, such as noise reduction, acoustic echo cancellation, gain control, microphone arrays, beamforming, or source separation 
• Design of hearing aids or Bluetooth audio devices 
• Familiar with PDM/PCM audio interfaces, USB, serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)
• Knowledge of audio data converters (ADC’s, DAC’s and codecs)
• FreeRTOS
• Ability to interpret hardware circuits, schematics, and block diagrams
• Development and debugging of real-time audio system software 
• Development of embedded DSPs and ARM cores
• Proficient in C++, C, Python, and Matlab

Preferred skills: 

• Experience building Cloud-based back-end systems
• Advanced digital signal processing with experience in time series data analysis 
• Familiarity with various DSP platforms and the trade-offs of embedded implementations
• Experience in acoustics and consumer audio electrical engineering architecture
• Some knowledge of machine learning and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit) 
• Industrial hardware design of hearing aids or Bluetooth audio devices 
• Automatic speech recognition systems 
• Github 

Above and beyond: 

• 7+ years of experience developing embedded systems
• Industrial hardware design of hearing aids or Bluetooth audio devices 
• Ability to lead a highly multidisciplinary team and execute goals
