Job Summary
The Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory of Dr. Chrysikou (www.chrysikoulab.com) is seeking a Research Associate to assist with our basic and translational research program on the neural bases of cognitive flexibility, higher-order thought, and goal-oriented action. Our research lab is part of the Applied Cognitive and Brain Sciences Program ( http://drexel.edu/coas/academics/graduate-programs/psychology-applied-cognitive-brain-science/) within the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Drexel University (http://drexel.edu/coas/academics/departments-centers/psychology/ ). We are a highly interdisciplinary group using cognitive neuroscience methods such as functional neuroimaging, neuropsychological studies, and noninvasive brain stimulation to investigate cognitive and affective regulation in health and disease.
Essential Functions
- The position will involve assisting in all aspects of preparing and implementing behavioral, fMRI, and neurostimulation experiments, with opportunities to conduct publishable independent research.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Prepare progress reports for the PI.
- Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or Biology.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience
- Should have background and experience in one or more neuroscience methods, including psychophysiology, fMRI, tDCS,
Preferred Qualifications
- Superior organizational and advanced computer programming and statistical skills (EPrime, Python, Matlab, R, SPSS) are strongly preferred.
