Embedded Software Engineer (Medior / Senior)

Artinis is a group of vibrant mostly young people of 18 different nationalities. As an Embedded Software Engineer you will join the embedded software team in the R&D department to work on high-tech wearable NIRS devices. In multidisciplinary projects you will be part of the whole product life-cycle and will develop new devices or improve and maintain existing devices while translating requirements to an end product. You ensure that firmware and hardware closely work together using tools like an oscilloscope or logic analyzer to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, Design and write code according to desired specifications.
  • Proposing ideas and improvements for software and devices
  • Testing of implementation and structure
  • Fixing bugs and optimizing the system
  • Code reviews

 

Qualifications

  • You have BSc or higher in Embedded systems/software or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Strong programming skills in C, other languages are a bonus “C++, Python, etc”
  • Experience with low level code writing on ARM based devices.
  • Knowledge of Electronics / PCB design
  • Hands on mentality with hardware and devices
  • Experience with debugging embedded systems
  • Knowledge of protocols and peripherals such as I2C, SPI, UART, DMA
  • Proactive working attitude
  • Professionally proficient in English (spoken & written)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good time-management skills

 

What Would Be A Plus

  • Soldering skills
  • Experience in medical software engineering or other regulated business
  • Knowledge of embedded unit testing
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth / Wifi / UWB
