Position Overview
Do you want to be part of the team that develops the next generation of medical imaging technology? Are you a super-organized person that enjoys helping keep the team on-track? If so, you’ve come to the right place! We’re looking for a project manager who can develop and manage multiple projects in an engineering and biomedical organization. Our ideal candidate is an expert project manager who is comfortable driving projects with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, regulatory and quality experts, and external partners. You will work as an individual contributor and report to the Executive Vice President of Engineering. Your near-term goals are to assume ownership of active projects and drive them to completion. In the long term, you will work with functional leads, department managers, and senior management to ensure future and current projects are being planned and executed well.

Education and Experience Requirements
Required
- At least 5 years’ experience as a project manager doing new product development.
- Demonstrate experience managing engineering development or product development projects.
- Expert level proficiency developing, implementing, and maintaining Agile and waterfall project and task management systems.
- Experience developing and managing budgets and schedules, developing project scope documents, and coordinating/managing project delivery, including team assignments and technical quality.
Preferred
- Experience managing projects for medical device development.
- Experience as a Scrum master.
- Experience using Notion for task and project management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (In addition to those listed, other duties may be assigned.)
- Centralize and maintain project management for all company disciplines: engineering, translational research, human study projects, and grant application management.
- Collaborate with functional leads, department managers, and senior management to formalize requirements, project scope, milestones, and then drive overall schedule.
- Identify and manage project risks and manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost.
- Monitor performance to meet stakeholder requirements and update management on changes to timeline and scope.
- Coordinate project activities with external partners by driving communication.

- Knowledge and experience in planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Works with limited supervision.

Reports to: CEO & dotted line to EVP Engineering
Classification: Full-time, salaried, exempt
Schedule: Regular full-time working hours, ability to work evening hours and overtime as needed.
Workplace Location: This position is on-site full-time at our office in Alameda, CA. After the 90-day introductory period, partial remote work may be granted as agreed upon with the employee’s manager.
