Job Description
Job Summary:
The Technician, Wafer Characterization will perform characterization on MOCVD wafers using various test equipment, such as X-ray, Photoluminescence, Polaron (chemical CV profiling), Surfscan, Hall effect, and other equipment as needed.
This is a 2nd Shift position – hours approx. 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Characterize wafers in support of MOCVD wafer production
- Process wafers according to detailed wafer traveler documentation
- Work closely with a team of Process Sustaining Engineers
- Perform data collection
- Perform testing on a final product wafer level.
- Summarize and communicate findings accurately to the engineering team and management as needed.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume III-V device manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma required, AA degree preferred
- Ability to work 2nd shift hours
- Experienced in SPC techniques and wafer fabrication
- Direct experience in wafer characterization is preferred
- Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This position primarily works in a Class 100 cleanroom environment. The employee must be able to suit up and wear cleanroom attire for extended periods. It requires frequent standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. Data entry will be a necessary part of the job. May stand for extended periods when operating equipment or walking in the facilities.
