Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.

The Department of Psychiatry is hiring a full time Research Data Analyst to gather and analyze magnetic resonance imaging and other clinical research data from various databases and sources, perform process and programming, develop reports and visual representations, design, develop and/or maintain clinical research information, and provide consultation, technical assistance, and coordination for a wide variety of faculty and Department stakeholders.

 

Essential Functions

  • Design, develop and/or maintain neuroimaging data that includes the integration of data with clinical data.
  • Assist with various tasks associated with assessment studies and analysis.
  • Conduct survey research analysis including: administration and logistics, compilation of data results, presentation and visualization of results.
  • Provide low level departmental IT support and serve as a liaison to the College of Medicine IT office.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff, including students (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). 
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at anytime.

 

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

 

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of experience in managing large data sets, analyzing statistical techniques and software, and reporting data in a meaningful format.

 

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
