The Role

Akili is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team.  It’s a great opportunity to not only collaborate with a team of talented engineers, but to have your work make a tangible and direct impact on people’s lives around the world.

Scope

• Build products and features at the crossroads of our Platform, Frontend, and Game teams.
• Design, build and maintain API’s and backend services that support our patients, healthcare providers and partners.
• Step into the unknown – Akili is a pioneer in digital therapeutics.  The things we build are novel in our space.
• Keep the data of our patients safe by emphasizing that security takes a front-seat in all of the things that we do.
• Dabble across specialties – we’re a small team looking to grow, and never afraid to learn about the technologies upon which we work.
• Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders, from Data Science to Finance.

Technical Skills:

• Backend and frontend development on AWS
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and/or Gitlab preferred)
• Scala (or Java)
• Python
• Docker
• Frontend, mobile app or game development experience (Unity, React, Swift or Kotlin)

The Ideal Candidate

• Has 3+ years of experience working in an environment with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Has extensive knowledge of development on AWS and Docker
• Demonstrates mastery of API and backend development security best-practices
• Has experience with Serverless Framework
• Has experience with Gitlab CI
• Has experience building products using Unity, React, Swift and Kotlin

Compensation: 

Cash Compensation: $150,000-$200,000 base salary plus additional incentive compensation
