The Role

Akili is looking for a Senior Security DevOps Engineer to join our growing team and help us build a world class information security program. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to build, automate, and run all aspects of Akili’s security operations programThis is an excellent opportunity to use your skills and experience to build a robust program at a successful growing company. You’ll be working with a team of talented engineers, in modern cloud environments, and your work will make a tangible and positive impact on people’s lives around the world.

 

Scope

As Akili’s Senior Security DevOps Engineer you will:

  • Participate in Agile Development practices
  • Participate in software development security threat modeling
  • Obtain and maintain organizational certifications
  • Working in software defined paradigms 
  • Communicate effectively within the InfoSec team and cross functionally as well as ensure proper documentation 
  • Assist with AWS guardrails/ secHub implementations
  • Enhance and update security incident response policies, processes and procedures
  • Enhance and maintain security detection, monitoring and logging technologies, and systems
  • Actively participating in and running cross functional information security incident response
  • Carrying out digital forensics and working on information security investigations
  • Carrying out regular operational information security tasks
  • Operator 24×7 security monitoring with a strategic partner
  • Offering input on strategic direction and planning

 

You have:

  • 5+ of Information Security experience with at least two years of operational experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure as a Service 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a variety of situations with various stakeholders
  • Experience with risk benchmarking and security assessments
  • Experience with asset management and automation techniques 
  • Working knowledge of multiple programing languages
  • Experience with Web Application FirewallsModern web application architectures
  • Working literacy of versioning, GIT, SVN
  • Knowledge of SOC 2 , ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and other security frameworks
  • Knowledge of modern application development, best practices, and tooling (IDE, Debugging, SAST/DAST) 
  • Experience leading complex information security incidents
  • Experience architecting and implementing security monitoring and logging systems
  • Technical experience with modern D&R tooling in cloud environments
  • Ability to lead large, technical, and complex projects
  • Knowledge of current attacker Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures

 

Compensation: 

Cash Compensation: $160,000-$180,000 base salary plus additional incentive compensation
