About the Role:
The QA Tester (based in Germany) is responsible for testing the German version of Click’s innovative Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) product in development. They will be identifying, recording, and suggesting fixes to potential bugs in our apps relating to language, implementation, user interface (UI), and compliance issues. This individual will be part of the Quality Assurance team in technology and work closely with the Quality Management team and alongside Technology Development, Business Operations, and external development partners to help ensure that Click delivers an optimal user experience and effective treatment to patients.
This position is located in Berlin, Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Test the localized version of the app by performing functional tests, regression tests, exploratory tests, and negative tests on a variety of mobile devices
- Perform software testing based on business timelines and sprint schedules
- Ensure that app is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies and ultimately ensuring that the app is accurately localized into the German language
- Identifying and correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors
- Hunting for missing/wrong content and ensuring the proper date/calendar/character display/format
- Ensuring the accuracy of translation within the context and consistency of terminology and imagery
- Identify, isolate, and document bugs clearly and concisely in a bug database.
- Create and execute test scripts, and checklists
- Attend meetings with the testing team, team lead, and other interested parties, on a regular basis
- Provide daily status reports about the status of the project testing
- Assist with the implementation of Click’s Quality Management System processes throughout the organization
- Work with the Quality Management Team to manage the software release process and prepare technical documentation
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (both English and German), organizational skills, and attention to detail
- 3+ years experience in software testing, preferably mobile applications (both iOS and Android applications)
- Experience working in an Agile development environment alongside other functions as part of a scrum team
- Excellent analytical skills, an affinity for problem-solving, and the ability to understand complex relationships between product functionality and requirements
- Experience of Software Localization as a QA Tester is a definite advantage.
- Ability to cope under pressure and to work to tight deadlines.
- Experience with common software development tools such as JIRA, and test case management Tool such as Zephyr Scale/Test Rail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within Quality Management System in accordance with medical device regulations (e.g, EU MDR) and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 62366)
