Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, Sales Representative will be a self-starter, motivated and an enthusiastic individual. They will be responsible for generating leads, interfacing between marketing & sales team, supporting & planning, and organizing sales-related activities and functions. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Strong phone presence and capability of making dozens of outbound calls per day. This is an inside sales role focused on outbound calls and emails. 
  • Achieving regional sales targets on a quarterly basis in accordance with the annual corporate sales plan.
  • Qualify, establish, develop, and maintain customer relationships for relevant accounts within the sales territory. These activities include lead generation, cold calling and prospecting, customer sales calls, appropriate telephone and email follow-up, and reporting.
  • Create and implement appropriate strategies for developing new account business including the arrangement of specific promotions such as one-day table shows, national tradeshows, technical seminars, presentations etc., as requested by Director of Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer.
  • Conduct presentations to multi-functional customer groups, including scientists, clinicians, purchasing, and others as appropriate.
  • Report to the Chief Commercial Officer all relevant information relating to field activities, including customer feedback, competitive actions, etc.
  • Keep abreast of relevant scientific papers and publications along with maintaining full technical knowledge and understanding of our products on an on-going basis.
  • Develop and maintain the customer data base for all relevant accounts within the sales region.
  • Provide market feedback on the competitiveness of our products on a continuous basis.
  • Document all customer interactions in Salesforce.com.
  • Develop and maintain a business plan to forecast and achieve sales goals.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in technical sales or account management.
  • Ability to interact with various settings/audiences.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Results oriented with high energy and self-motivation.

 

Preference will be given to someone who has: 

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from four-year a college or university (microbiology, biology, chemistry or biochemistry preferred).
  • Experience with products and services in the Life Sciences industry.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Clinical/ Medical Device Sales and Account Management.

 

The Finer Details

  • This is a full-time position.
  • We’re looking to fill two Sales Representative positions.
  • You will be working out of our HealthTech Connex head office located at Unit 1009, City Centre 3, 13761 96 Avenue, Surrey 
  • We work in a hybrid environment.
