Job Description
The Program Administrator in the Undergraduate Program in Neuroscience has broad administrative oversight of the Programs financial and academic affairs. Working closely with the Director of the Undergraduate Program in Neuroscience and affiliated faculty, the Program Administrator will support the more than 400 Neuroscience majors in the Program by:
- Monitoring Program budgets, purchasing needed supplies, and managing internal and external grants;
- Scheduling courses, assigning course staff (such as Instructors, Teaching Fellows, Course Facilitators, and Learning Assistants), monitoring course enrollments over time, and anticipating changing teaching needs;
- Communicating with students and faculty about program-related matters;
- Assisting the Programs Academic Advisor with updating and maintaining degree resources such as major worksheets and guidelines for applying for research for credit;
- Assisting the Director with preparing reports and assessments and setting Program goals;
- Monitoring student academic progress and research participation, overseeing outreach activities, and developing extracurricular programs;
- Providing academic advising;
- Overseeing event scheduling and Program commencement;
- Maintaining the Programs website.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three to five years of experience.
