Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities
The Associate Instrument Servicing Technician position is part of a Team that supports the servicing of medical instruments used during spine surgery. The position coordinates closely with the Operations Team, Development Team, Marketing Team, and Quality Assurance Team. The principal responsibility of the Servicing Technician position is to perform tests and repair procedures for medical equipment. Detailed documentation of servicing activities and inventory transactions is imperative.
Required Skills / Capabilities
Required Skills and Essential duties include but not limited to the following:
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair medical instruments
- Inspect instrument specifications with calipers, micrometers, plug gages, thread gages, and optical comparator
- Test instrument functionality
- Coordinate, document, and ship medical instruments to third party service providers
- Follow all Regulatory and Safety requirements
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485
- Follow all current standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Communicate operational issues and improvements to management daily
- Applicant must have the ability to perform all the above responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge blue print reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Education and Experience
- 3+ years experience in related function
- Experience in a regulated environment (e.g. FDA QSR, ISO 13485, etc.)
- High school diploma
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of device manufacturing, final assembly, finishing, laser marking, and conventional machining preferred.
Travel and/or Physical Requirements
No travel required
