We are looking for a Senior Research Scientist. You will be working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to lead experimental preclinical activities that drive the conceptualization and feasibility testing of new devices.
Responsibilities
- Work with an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers on various preclinical activities
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for a team of research associates
- Conceive, plan, execute, and oversee a broad range of neuromodulation related preclinical experimental activities
- In collaboration with cross-departmental teams, utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze experimental data, draw insights, and build predictive models
- Clearly present results in the form of reports and presentations
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting
- Oversee research projects utilizing project management software tools
- Continuously leverage information from the latest scientific literature
Key Qualifications
- Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or related discipline
- One to two years post-doctoral or industry experience in related technical field
- Expertise in neuromodulation techniques and theory
- Extensive experience conducting preclinical research in rodent models, preferably involving electrophysiology
- Experience working in interdisciplinary environments and leading large projects
- Experience with Python, Labview, and/or MATLAB programming languages
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with implanted medical devices, preferably neuromodulation related
- Experience working in an industry research and development setting
Job Type: Full time
In person, comprising both office and laboratory work
$145,000 – $160,000 a year
