Starlab, a cutting-edge private R&D company based in Barcelona (Spain), is seeking a dynamic candidate to join our team as a Neuroscience Business Developer. As a key member of the company, you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of applied neuroscience and play a crucial role in driving the success of our various business lines. You will collaborate closely with our sister company, Neuroelectrics, a world leader in wireless neurotechnology for monitoring and stimulation.

With significant implications for health, wellness, human-computer interaction, and society, we are looking for a talented individual like you to help us propel our different business areas forward.

 

 The business areas you will focus on include:

  • Neuroscience and Neurotechnology as a Service
  • Decision Support Systems for clinical trials and applications
  • Biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases and mental health
  • Markers of affective response with applications in business, culture, and User eXperience Assessment (UXA)
  • Personalized treatments

 

To be successful in this role, we are seeking individuals with the following qualifications and experience:

  • You have a degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or Neuroscience, or equivalent experience with demonstrated experience in BD for consulting services
  • Relevant experience (at least 1 year) in Technology Transfer, Service Development, Market Analysis and Design Thinking tools
  • You demonstrate success in sales and comprehensive knowledge of the sales process and you have proven experience in project acquisition (public and private).
  • You are familiar with marketing tools, including social media and web media and you have good knowledge of CRM and client management.
  • Strong interest and at least some experience in technical consulting, preferably in the pharmaceutical and/or neurotechnology sectors.

 

 Soft & behavioural skills:

  • Confident negotiator with a proven ability to “close the deal”.
  • Strong client management skills
  • Excellent bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills in all forms (written, oral, presentation)
  • A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on objectives
  • Assertiveness and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Team player with a deep appreciation for our work culture
  • Curiosity and a passion for the unknown
  • Flexibility and adaptability to evolving circumstances
