Position Overview

The New Product Development Manager is responsible for finding opportunities for new products via competitive research and creating partnership opportunities in the medical device space. The New Product Development Manager would have a combination of engineering and business experience and be able to conduct market analysis, product design, prototyping, and manufacturing. This role will report into the Director of Advanced Product Development

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop product specifications and requirements based on customer feedback, market research, and industry trends
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement
  • Conduct market research to understand market need and demand for new products
  • Establish partnerships and growth opportunities for Ceribell with medical device companies
  • Gain permission from corporate executives to develop new products by presenting new ideas
  • Prepare a cost analysis on the development of a new product
  • Identify market gaps and think strategically
  • Engage stakeholders in business presentations
  • Develop prototypes for potential new products
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with little guidance
  • Be ready to make a difference in a fast-paced startup environment

 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Systems Engineering, preferred 
  • Business Analysis background with ability to help grow the business
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Prototyping experience
  • Aptitude to learn and incorporate new technologies
  • Excellent critical analysis and reasoning skills
  • Flexible to effectively execute multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Engineering consulting experience

 

Other Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant experience in medical device/healthcare manufacturing
  • Experience with manufacturing and assembly process development
  • Experience with high-volume or automated manufacturing

Compensation Range: $145,000—$160,000 USD
