About the Role:
Serving as the company’s Executive Director, Head of Cyber Security, develops strategic direction and implementation of the company’s information security strategy, policies, procedures, and technical controls that are in alignment with industry standards and best practices. Responsible for building advocacy, support, and sponsorship for information security across the organization, leveraging technology and engineering practices to establish the vision, strategy and architecture to ensure client and company data is secured effectively and flexibly.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
- Asses the current state information security program and develop a strategic road map to evolve and mature the cyber capability across the company
- Identifies information security priorities, potential threats, gaps, and system vulnerabilities, while conducting regular and ongoing monitoring of organizational compliance with standards, policies and recommend options for remediation to key stakeholders
- Establish annual and long-range security and compliance goals, define relative strategies, performance metrics, reporting mechanisms and program services; create maturity models and strategic roadmap for continual program improvements
- Develop a comprehensive Identity Management architecture and strategy and drive the implementation of identity management discipline
- Represent Neurocrine’s information security posture and program in discussion with key customers and partners, internally and externally
- Create a culture of information security awareness leveraging training programs and communication campaigns to ensure staff, clients, customers, and partners are equipped with the knowledge to help ensure a secure and safe environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the business to understand business and technical requirements and position Information Security as a support mechanism versus an impediment to progression and innovation
- As required, update and educate Board of Directors and executive leadership on current cyber threats, issues, and risks. Provide regular status updates on progress and status of cyber operations

Requirements:
- BA/BS Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, related field or equivalent work experience and 17+ years of information security leadership experience in a dynamic matrixed organization. Successful implementation of cyber security programs, frameworks, architectures, and operations. Proven success establishing Identity Management architectures, technologies, and operations. Significant experience working in a regulated (Biotech, Pharma) with exposure and knowledge of FDA regulations. CISSP, CISM, CISA, certifications is a HUGE + OR
- MBA, MS or other advanced degree preferred and 15+ years of similar experience as noted above and
- Extensive previous leadership experience also required

- Demonstrated ability to identify root cause, develop solutions and reduce complexity
- Ability to apply best practices derived from regulatory and compliance requirements
- Highly proficient at developing budgets and forecasts
- Ability to effectively operate in a multi-level matrix environment
- In-depth knowledge of applicable industry data protection rules
- Expertise in Cyber Security best practices and implementing Cyber Security Frameworks
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in security architecture, cloud solutions, frameworks, and cyber technology
- Extensive knowledge of Information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) with respect to security administration and information technology governance in a multiplatform environment

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $215,200.00-$320,125.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
