As a Senior Software Engineer at Neurable, you will support a growing infrastructure and list of services to help ensure a smooth experience for our users. You will build systems that maintain stability of deployments while also increasing the velocity of releasing new features. In addition, you will play a key role in driving and designing scalable web infrastructure and architecture projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement highly scalable and resilient clusters, ensuring optimal performance and stability for the entire software delivery pipeline. 

 

The hiring process will proceed as follows:

  • Logistics Survey: September 6th, 2023 
  • Technical Challenge (1-2 hour remote coding and theory challenge): Week of September 11th, 2023
  • Technical Interviews (Technical Challenge and experience discussion): September 18th – September 20th, 2023
  • Founder Interview (culture fit): September 20th – September 22nd, 2023

This hire should start the week of October 16th (some flexibility pending situation). 

 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, maintain, and further develop Neurable’s cloud infrastructure and related services.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and decision-making processes to drive. improvements and scalability in our infrastructure.
  • Facilitate developer productivity improvements through tooling. 
  • Develop tooling, observability, and fault tolerance into our cloud platform.
  • Build infrastructure as code, and help migration of services to run on shared good practices.
  • Develop CI/CD principles and maintain CI/CD tools/platforms.
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Ensure that our platform adheres to the latest security and compliance regulations.
  • Collaborate with neuroscientists and ML engineers to make sure our cloud supports product and R&D.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 5+ years experience with professional cloud development.
  • Fluency with Python and cloud architecture design. 
  • Experience developing RESTful applications.
  • Experience gathering feedback from multiple stakeholders and prioritizing work to maximize business impact.
  • Expertise in measuring the performance of workflows and using the data to remove bottlenecks.
  • Experience building dashboards for performance visualizations and monitoring.
  • Willingness to learn and grow rapidly across a multitude of systems.
  • Experience in a face-paced startup environment.
  • Knowledge of biopotential measurement systems (EEG, ECG, EMG, etc..,) is also helpful, but not critical.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components, including familiarity with container networking concepts, such as overlay networks, service mesh, and network policies.
  • Knowledge/experience with wearable products is helpful.
  • Last but not least, a hunger for learning and exploring the exciting frontier that is the brain.
