NeuroTechX (NTX) is the world’s leading non-profit organization and the largest international community for neurotechnology enthusiasts. Our mission is to advance the field of neurotechnology by providing key educational resources and professional development opportunities. In seven years, NTX has grown from a small group of friends into an international organization with 30+ local Chapters, 30+ Student Clubs & 18k+ members. We’re looking for like-minded individuals to join our team and help us continue to grow. 

The Student Clubs Manager opportunity 

The Student Clubs Manager will be the central driving force for all NTX Student Clubs (student-led community hubs within universities). The role will nurture existing Student Clubs and set up new ones, support Student Club initiatives, and build resources to manage all the above! With the ongoing support of the NTX Leadership Team and an existing Student Clubs infrastructure, key responsibilities include: 

Primary responsibilities 

• Onboarding new Student Clubs, both reactively and in pursuit of new Student Club opportunities
• Supporting Student Club initiatives (namely, the annual Competition) by securing sponsorship, sharing resources, keeping track of progress, handling ad hoc queries, and seeking support from the NTX Leadership Team where needed 
• Keeping the NTX Leadership Team updated on progress and escalating issues when necessary
• As required, recruit a team of volunteers to help drive forward the Student Clubs initiative 

Secondary responsibilities 

• Working with the NTX Leadership Team to create resources and tools for Student Clubs
• Helping Student Clubs to understand what success looks like and supporting them to reach their goals by distributing resources, offering support when issues arise, and celebrating wins! 

What we’ll ask of you 

• Average of 15-hour/week commitment taken flexibly with a delivery focused mindset
• Commitment to 1+ year in the role 
• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s or equivalent degree or 3+ years professional experience 

Who you are 

• A community lover and natural people person with a passion for bringing people together to create something special, making friends, and building a professional network 
• A self-starter who is organized, proactive and self-directed – you’re keen and able to take a lead
• Able to both strategize and operate – you can set a well thought-through vision and execute on it
• Interested in neurotechnology / neuroscience / biotech / medtech (and so on!)
• (Nice to have) Experience in community management, professionally or with student organizations
