Job Overview: 

This is an engineering and technical product leadership role, requiring a capable leader with an ability to coordinate various discussions both within Arm and with our business and ecosystem partners, in order to derive a roadmap of engineering requirements for Mali GPU software, with a focus on Operating System compatibility.

 

Responsibilities:

Using your technical and commercial understanding of GPU software and the supporting ecosystem to ensure that the Mali DDK remains fit for purpose with a wide range of ecosystem partners and operating systems (e.g. Android, Linux, etc.)

Driving discussions both internally (with commercial and technical collaborators) as well as with partner organisations and then translate these into engineering level requirements. The role involves talking to a broad range of partners, from technical specialists to commercial product managers and sales & marketing. You will be the focal point for Mali operating system support and it will be your responsibility to make sure that current customer and ecosystem partner needs continue to be met but also to drive the improvement of the product!

You will be comfortable dealing with a wide range of topics and issues and collaborating with a broad set of team members, while relying on the expertise of others.

You enjoy being the person that drives discussions, identifies issues and doesn’t shy away from difficult or ambiguous problems.

 

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Experience leading software development or technical product ownership within a commercial organization.
  • Ability to initiate and lead various discussions with a broad-range of contributors and transition these into concrete engineering-level plan
  • An ability to quickly understand complex topics and coordinate discussions with technical and commercial experts in order to bring clarity.
  • Strong understanding of computer and embedded system architecture (CPU, Memory, MMU, Cache, etc.)
  • Ability and enthusiasm for standardising and improving workflows.
  • Practical, organized and analytical approach to work.

 

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Familiarity with graphics fundamentals (e.g. GPU graphics pipeline and shaders).
  • A Bachelors, Masters or PhD (computer science or electronics engineering) with good academic record.
  • Experience working with 3D graphics API (e.g. Vulkan, OpenGL ES, Direct3D, etc.)
  • Low level programming languages (e.g. C/C++).
