Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, the Manager of IT will partner across the business to manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of Kallyope’s information systems to meet the Company’s and IT department’s business imperatives. This includes business applications, data, network infrastructure, servers, cloud computing and storage, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, privacy, helpdesk, and assist with IT vendor/partner management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading, and support of all relevant IT systems.
- Execute and manage the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software.
- Manage ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance, and governance in line with the organization’s privacy policies following applicable federal and state laws.
- Provide IT operations, help desk and IT systems/applications support including engagement with third-party providers.
- Manage IT technology assets in support of the business continuity strategy ensuring they meet defined capacity requirements and service level agreements.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders in establishing and managing the validation state of computer systems, instruments, processes, etc.
- Support the IT cyber security strategy through the management of relevant cyber security capabilities and training.
- Support clear communications with cross-functional teams, management, the user community and third-party providers.
- Manage in line with all IT policies and procedures in accordance with Kallyope’s quality and appropriate regulatory compliance.
- Provide a high-level customer experience across all computer systems, hardware, software and processes owned and managed by the Information Technology team.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
You must have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, information systems, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience including technology and direct/indirect people and team management.
- Experience handling implementation, training, and support for GxP systems, quality and clinical information management systems, research and laboratory-specific information management systems such as ELN, LIMS, registries and asset data management.
- Experience with developing and executing Computer System Validation procedures and maintaining IT systems in a state of validation in partnership with the Quality organization and external vendors/partners.
- Experience handling implementation, training, and support for productivity, content, and collaboration systems, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Egnyte.
- Experience in IT systems, networks, operations, cloud-based systems, security, and development.
- Strong experience developing, implementing, executing and managing information technology policies, procedures and SOP’s in support of SOX, HIPAA, 21CFRPart11 and other regulatory requirements.
- Strong people, vendor and project management skills with teams of internal and external resources.
- Proven ability to manage complexity and change within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong user support skills with a focus on providing a high-level customer experience; ITSM knowledge is a plus.
Additional preferred experience includes:
- Biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry experience
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
The expected salary range for this role in New York City is $88,000–$167,000. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
