How you’ll make a difference:
The successful Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing candidate will source, evaluate, and manage supplier partnerships. You’ll be responsible for establishing strategic relationship programs that drive efficiency in quality, cost, and delivery. The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will also work cross-functionally within the organization to strategically and objectively source goods and services in consideration of their total cost of acquisition and the financial and other impacts to the business.
Your key responsibilities:
- Analyze and calculate procurement costs for assigned categories
- Identify savings opportunities within sourcing categories through active contract management and operations efficiencies
- Develop business plans to continue ongoing supply chain improvements
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, evaluate bids and proposals and collaborate with Supply Chain resources (ie: supplier development engineers, quality engineers, etc.)
- Develop “state of the union” metrics and information for assigned categories that will inform the business of supplier and material trends in the industry. This should include developing technologies beneficial to the organization, M&A activity that could potentially impact the business or may be of interest to management, raw material, labor and transportation changes in the market, and other information pertinent to the quality, cost and delivery of assigned categories
- Drive purchase decisions based on cost, lead time and market trends
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities
- Establish and maintain strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships.
- Create, issue and manager corporate RFx policies
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, logistics or related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain management roles that include strategic sourcing responsibilities
- Proficient in Risk Management, sourcing strategies, contract negotiation and cost savings
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Willingness to travel to develop, promote and maintain strategic sourcing relationships
- Working knowledge of process improvement philosophies (ie: Lean, Six Sigma, etc)
- Master’s degree in business or specialization in advanced procurement management preferred
- Familiarity with Titanium and PEEK manufacturing operations and supplier validations
- Medical device manufacturing experience
The anticipated salary for this position is $130,909 to $162,527 per year, plus bonus, and benefits. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type, and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
