About the Role:
Support scientists by leading efforts to define, implement, maintain and improve a robust, scalable, and state of the art research software environment.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
- Leads development projects for systems (LIMS or similar) data tracking; including technical requirements evaluation for new software system projects
- Develops solutions for integration of novel research software systems
- Represents team on large interdisciplinary teams
- Partners with research scientists and IT professionals to gather and prioritize requirements
- Evaluate software solutions against requirements and recommend options
- Proactively monitors, troubleshoots more complex issues and implements improvements for already in place data systems
- Manages end-user software documentation
- Owns enhancements to data workflow processes
- For all areas, leads, trains and mentors less experienced team members
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, within a research setting providing impactful solutions to scientists
- Proficient in of usage and purpose of a LIMS platform in a research setting
- Proficient in usage of and purpose of issue tracking software in a support setting
- Project management and coordination skills
- Product ownership and management experience
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experienced with cloud/open-source servers
- Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work
- Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas
- Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area
- Ability to work as part of a team; may train lower levels
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills
- Detail oriented yet can see broader picture for department
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $103,200.00-$149,700.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
