The Role

As an Analytics Engineer with Akili’s Platform Engineering team, you’ll be instrumental in shaping and enhancing our data infrastructure, unlocking profound insights into our pioneering cognitive interventions. Partnering closely with our marketing, sales, and executive teams, you’ll fine-tune our analytics capabilities to directly support and inform strategic decision-making.

 

Scope

  • Work alongside Data Scientists and DevOps, Data and Backend Engineers to integrate analytical solutions and methodologies.
  • Ensure data quality and implement monitoring and alerting tools for data anomalies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication to drive alignment on data requirements and outcomes.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations for enhancing data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Marketing, Sales, and Executive teams to identify key data and reporting needs.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of data quality and governance best practices.
  • Skills in automation and scheduling tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
  • Expertise in data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Proficiency in data pipeline design and optimization.
  • Experience in using DBT for data modeling, transformation, and testing, showcasing prior work with robust DBT workflows.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Solid foundation in relevant analytics engineering skills and tools.
  • Adept at translating complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments, anticipates challenges, and is quick to innovate and pivot as needed.
  • Possesses a keen ability to analyze data patterns and derive actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of AWS data services and tools, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing data projects on the platform.
  • Demonstrated experience with Amazon Redshift, optimizing queries, and managing large data sets within the platform.

Compensation: 

Cash Compensation: $120,000-$170,000 base salary plus additional incentive compensation

Benefits: Robust benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k + employer match, family/medical leave, group term life, Unlimited PTO and 20 paid holidays in 2023 and more.
