Software Engineer – Emotion SDK

The Job: 

As Affectiva’s Emotion SDK developer, you will work to package, release, and maintain Affectiva’s market-leading Emotion AI Software Developer Kit.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop Affectiva’s core in-market C++ SDK codebase for Emotion AI
• Participate in the design and implementation of features for the Emotion AI SDK
• Build, deploy, and optimize Affectiva’s Emotion AI SDK on different platforms
• Prototype applications and demos that use Emotion AI
• Write customer-driven improvements to our Emotion AI SDK
• Work with partners on integrating the C++ SDK into their applications
• Maintain existing and add new unit tests in the Emotion AI SDK
• Resolve bugs in a timely fashion

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Software development experience (3+ years preferred)
• 3-5 years of work experience in C++
• 3-5 years of experience with Python development
• Passionate about Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies
• Familiarity with Deep Learning libraries like Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras, OpenCV
• Familiarity with using on-premise and cloud-based services like AWS
• Experience with Build & Release systems
• Familiarity with Scrum and other Agile methodologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with cross-compiling for aarch64 and armv7 on Android, MacOS, Linux, and Windows
• Experience with benchmarking utilities
• Experience in developing applications
• Experience with solving computer vision problems
• Experience with Docker
