Position Overview

Salary range: The salary range for this position is $60,000-$71,952. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by experience level. See Postdoctoral Scholar Scale for the salary range. “Off-scale salaries”, i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated experience, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

An exciting opportunity for a NIH funded position(s) available to apply state of the art molecular and circuit approaches to probe and target cell-type specific neuronal populations (e.g., those expressing CRH receptor type 1) in the reward circuitry. We probe the circuit mechanisms by which early life experiences / stress promote enduring disruptions of adult motivated behaviors.

Join a vibrant, open, multidisciplinary and diverse lab in a top-notch university in Southern California. The project is within the lab of Tallie Z. Baram in the Departments of Pediatrics and Anatomy/Neurobiology.

 

Required:

  • Recent PhD, relevant experience in molecular and/or circuit Neuroscience Successful candidates will have a strong publication record, broad passion for Neuroscience and a collegiate approach, including the ability to maintain effective interactions and collaborations with team members.
  • The position will be appointed at a level commensurate with the education and experience of the individual candidate and is for a period of three years with the possibility of renewal.
