Internship User-centered Designer
Product · Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands · Full time
Job description
Why you will love to be our new User-Centered Design Intern:
Tover means magic. Betoveren means using that magic. Tover, the purpose-driven company behind the innovative Tovertafel, is offering an internship (September to end of January) for a talented and passionate User-centered Designer to spread this magic even further. At Tover, we are committed to creating meaningful experiences for people living with cognitive challenges (dementia, intellectual disability or special needs) and their caregivers through the use of interactive technology. During your internship, you will support our User Centered Designers in performing user research and co-designing concepts for new games and services.
Projects that you can for example work on:
- Co-design a new Tovertafel game for seniors with dementia or adults with an intellectual disability.
- Obtain insights into how we can support caregivers to select the right game at the right moment and test possible solutions.
- Create concepts to stimulate social inclusion for people with and without (intellectual) disabilities by using the Tovertafel
How you can make a serious difference
- User Research: You obtain insight into the wishes and needs of our target group and their caregivers.
- Prototype and visualize: You translate these needs and wishes into strong and ‘prikkelende’ new concepts or improvements for existing products or services. We love early prototypes and MVP’s to communicate these ideas.
- Creative co-design: At Tover, we develop for and with our target groups. We are convinced that our products can only truly meet the needs and requirements of our target groups if they play an important role in the development process. Therefore you will regularly visit care organizations to get insights, validate ideas and test prototypes.
