About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Quality engineers within the Maple Grove NSM business unit supporting a growing Nitinol implantable manufacturing area. This is an onsite role based in Maple Grove, MN with the rest of the operations support team.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Provide guidance and training to staff, assist subordinates in attaining career goals, motivate individuals to achieve results, and recruit and maintain a high-performing team
- Manages and/or provides day-to-day leadership to engineers and cross functional team members and set priorities accordingly
- Determine appropriate staff levels and schedules while working with key partners to understand priorities and plan resource allocation accordingly
- Own and drive deliverables related to Product Performance, Quality, and Compliance; key partner in all manufacturing department goals and objectives
- Monitor key quality signals and drive team to achieve Best quality performance
- Lead & create engagement around continuous improvement activities within the production line/area; driving corrective and preventive actions
- Support new product and process integrations with built in quality and strategies that align to production area
- Maintain and enhance cross-functional and cross-site relationships
- Provide guidance regarding technical strategies and approaches; work cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues
- Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements)
- Assist in developing department budget and monitor spend
- Report to functional and/or organization management on quality performance and team accomplishments
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory / management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of managing and leading projects experience
- Medical Device or regulated industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advance engineering or business degrees
- Previous experience in Nitinol processing
- Proven business acumen, effective communication skills, demonstrated track record of project management execution, and leadership experience
