Project Manager

We are looking for a full-time Project Manager who will communicate directly with the CTO and report progress on the project, as early as September 2023. With AAVAA, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team building a unique listening device that allows everyone to hear what they want by processing their surrounding sounds based on input from their brain and bio-signals. Our goal is to give people control of their auditory environment, enhance the sounds they want to hear, and suppress distracting noise. Your tasks and duties will include:

  • Leveraging firmware development expertise to optimize device functionality and performance.
  • Proven experience in working within multi-disciplinary teams and navigating diverse technical domains.
  • Familiarity with PCB design and hardware components is essential.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application within wearable technology projects.
  • Collaborating with hardware/software engineers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Directly communicating and working with the CTO to ensure technical alignment.
  • Applying hardware/software engineering knowledge to drive project success.
  • Iterating designs and user experiences using a user-centered approach.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and conceptual development.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in project management
  • Firmware development expertise to enhance device functionality.
  • Strong hardware/software engineering knowledge for seamless integration.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software to plan, track, and report project progress and metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with technical goals.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software like Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, accessibility, and testing methodologies.

 

Above and Beyond:

  • Prior experience in the wearable technology industry, sensor technology, or related fields.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports.
  • Material selection expertise.
