Artiria Medical SA is a start-up company active in the field of neurovascular technology. Artiria’s objective is to establish a new standard of care to fight stroke and save lives. 15 million people suffer a stroke every year. This brain pathology often leads to severe disabilities and death. Artiria develops cutting-edge medical devices using the patient’s arteries as an access route to smoothly reach the brain and locally deliver life-saving treatments.
Artiria Medical is looking for a talented Embedded System Engineer to contribute to the development of the company’s products.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Define and implement embedded SW architecture and SW unit specifications
- Contribute to the development of embedded electronics.
- Lead SW risk management and SW verification and validation (VnV) activities.
- Contribute to the overall device test activities (e.g., electrical safety, usability).
- Actively support and collaborate with the rest of the RnD team (mechatronics, industrialization).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Microengineering / Software Engineering (EPFL, HES, or equivalent).
- 2 years of experience in Embedded Software Development (C/C++, Silicon Labs toolchain a plus).
- Familiar with ISO 13485 / ISO 14971 / IEC 62304.
- Familiar with tools for version control (e.g., Git) and continuous integration (e.g., Jenkins).
- Familiar with wireless communication protocols (e.g., BLE).
- Familiar with electronics design for embedded systems (e.g. Altium).
- Strong commitment and drive to work in a startup environment.
- Willingness to take on new technical challenges.
- Language: English, written and spoken, French a plus.
- Good-to-have:
- Experience with SW development for class III medical devices
- Experience with low-power systems
