About the Position
CYENS Centre of Excellence is seeking an experienced Project Officer to join the team of the Cyprus DIGital INNovation Hub (DiGiNN) project. DiGiNN is part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in the Digital Europe program aiming to ensure that innovative digital solutions, based on new technologies, are integrated into the day-to-day business of companies and public administrations. The EDIH will function as one-stop shop that helps SMEs and the public sector dynamically respond to the digital challenges and become more competitive.
The successful candidate will join the CYENS’ DiGiNN project management team and will work together with the Project Manager to manage the general operation of the project.
Responsibilities of Project Officer:
- Effectively contribute and assist in the coordination, management and planning (administrative, financial, technical) of the DiGiNN Project
- Support the development and management of relationships with governmental and private sector entities
- Organize and participate in networking events with the local industry and government sectors
- Support in the organization of project meetings and events
- Support the development of in project deliverables, progress reports and financial reports
- Collect and analyze data and report on the project Key Performance Indicators
- Support the project manager in any other project related activity
General qualifications and requirements
- University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or Degree of a level equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree) or Diploma or Certificate or other study title or qualifications in relevant field. Master’s degree will be considered an advantage
- Minimum 2 years’ demonstrated experience in funded projects.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Language requirements: Excellent written and oral English-language skills will be required.
Profile of the ideal candidate:
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, having the ability to deal confidently and politely with enquiries.
- Experience with projects in the field of ICT or technology sectors
- Good understanding of a wide spectrum of advanced digital technologies
- Very good analytical skills coupled with attention to detail.
- High levels of commitment, energy, and drive.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
