The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Software Technical Project Manager II (SW TPM) with experience in managing multiple projects of various size and complexity, and lead development teams from conception to commercialization. You will work with mobile, cloud, firmware, teams and collaborate with other cross-functional teams to react quickly and produce quality solutions to difficult technical challenges. What You Will Be Working On:

  • The SW TPM will be responsible for project execution and delivery, in support of Sibel’s business goals.  
  • This individual shall ensure all essential foundational elements of project management are maintained and reported on: Ex:  Action Items, Schedule, Risks, Resources/Budget, Lessons Learned, etc. are concurrently managed to assure the project is delivered on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Lead the team in adherence to organizational tools, processes, and requirements throughout the development lifecycle, including: Project Charters/Project Definitions, Risk Registers, Lessons Learned, Change Approvals requests, project Status Reports/Dashboards, and delivery of Internal & External documentation requirements.  
  • Excellent knowledge of core functional areas for software development and leading teams in relevant areas including Cloud and Mobile app development, and experience with phased development processes are essential to this role.
  • Experience working with agile methodology using JIRA and other productivity tools (Ex. Smartsheet).
  • Experience working on product solutions that require hardware and software sync.  Experience collaborating with hardware functional teams such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, etc. is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to coordinate team members across varied functional disciplines, keeping the team on task, the project on track, with clear communication channels within the team and with project stakeholders. 
  • Facilitate day-to-day communication and activities of Core Project Team, including:  Leading team meetings, enabling collaborative discussions and eliciting input from key functional areas; documenting action items, decisions, overall progress; seeking input from or looping in Subject Matter Experts or Stakeholders from outside Core Project Team as needed. 
  • Manage risks proactively, preparing mitigation plans as a team to avoid conversion into issues and impact to project parameters.
  • Escalates issues, barriers, or concerns as appropriate to relevant stakeholders or leadership, and facilitates discussions necessary to drive decisions and resolution activities.
  • Support PMO (Project Management Office) in identifying improvements to existing, and/or development of new, project management processes, systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with other teams to facilitate process improvements

 

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field.  OR an
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, with an Advanced Degree with focus on project/product/program management, engineering design, or manufacturing
  • Experience in medical device product development, or other highly regulated environments (Ex. Automotive, Military) highly desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) with knowledge of PMBOK 6th Edition or later, preferred.
  • Highly developed skill set in project leadership practices including ability to balance risk, effectively influence diverse teams, guide team in decisions that align with organizational goals and culture, and ownership of responsibility for outcomes.
  • Good balance of high level strategic and detailed tactical thought processes
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects/programs to completion.
  • Must possess managerial courage; must be confident managing risks and making difficult decisions that drive strategic organizational objectives
  • Works independently; self-directed; and highly self-aware. Able to establish trust and credibility throughout teams and leadership; demonstrates unwavering integrity and fierce accountability..

 

You May Thrive In This Role If…

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering and/or scientific discipline.
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or PMP (Project Management Professional) Certified 
  • Expert understanding of core project management principles and how to apply or adapt them as needed.
  • Experience managing projects with international teams and external contract services.
  • Exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills; negotiating; managing change; goal setting; planning and organizing teamwork; ability to address difficult situations; conflict resolution; resource constraint and problem solving.
  • Successfully managed multiple projects from conception through commercialization, or program management (multiple linked projects under a single overarching initiative), ideally in the medical device industry.
  • Experience managing complex medical technology development programs.
  • Exposure to systems engineering, concept engineering, hardware and software development, validation and systems integration.
