Job Description
- Perform general maintenance and repair duties, including light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and arranging furniture and partitions.
- Maintain and follow proper compliance and systems requirements
- Perform basic troubleshooting, simple repairs and maintenance on facility equipment, controls and systems, including water, fire/life safety and security systems
- Guide contractors and service providers who perform more complex repairs and maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Utilize standard and portable power tools
- Perform general repairs and work order requests
- Assist in movement of office furniture, materials and equipment as required
- Change florescent light bulbs
- Paint interior offices as needed
- Maintain preventive maintenance logs
- Dispose of waste chemicals and materials following approved safety processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude with problem solving skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- General knowledge of plumbing
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Outlook
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Some knowledge of phone systems is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years maintenance or facilities experience
- Current CA driver license, with excellent driving record
