Position Summary:

We are looking for a new Product Manager on the LivaNova Cardiopulmonary marketing team! You will be responsible for all marketing activities for our Autotransfusion and Cannulae product lines. The Product Manager contributes to the strategic development of programs and execution of projects to achieve product line sales objectives within the North America regional organization.  Supports field sales on a daily basis.  Develops an expertise of assigned products and therapies.  Has direct responsibility for product management and promotions of specific devices within the product lines. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Working with direction, translates business, customer, and sales team needs into marketing strategies and initiatives for assigned product lines.
  • Serves as leader for product launches, creating and executing launch plans.
  • Works directly with other product managers, cross functionally with senior management to coordinate and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinates efforts with manufacturing, engineering, quality, global marketing and other functional areas to produce innovative products that meet customer needs.
  • Assesses customer needs and market trends within the context of product and business capabilities and translates this assessment into workable strategies.
  • Responsibilities involve projects of considerable complexity that have a significant financial impact on the assigned product line.
  • Establishes and is accountable for achievement of sales and market share goals for assigned product line and associated products.
  • Collects and analyzes competitor information and tracks sales.  Develops and refines sales forecast and demand plan for assigned products.
  • Manages demand planning for assigned products, analyzing current sales along with expected market changes. Supports sales team during supply challenges and maintains communications with cross functional partners.
  • Assists customers and sales personnel through the provision of sales training, clinical in-service assistance, and marketing problems.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems.
  • Interacts with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate assertiveness and persistence.
  • Works effectively and comfortably with physicians and other medical professionals, as well as with all functions and levels within the business organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Candidate must have:

  • Works well within teams both cross-functionally and teams that are not located within a specific building or geography.
  • Ability to travel regularly domestically (~20%) and potentially internationally
  • Ability to understand scientific facts and package them into a cohesive communication model for customers and sales personnel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to develop financial analyses to justify product or project investments.
  • Leadership ability, analytical thinking and problem resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of domestic and worldwide markets and global marketing strategy.
  • Oral and written comprehension, mathematical, memorization, and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and develop new programs
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical thinking and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with health care professionals
  • Knowledge of the North America cardiovascular medical device marketplace and healthcare environment, ideally with deep expertise in cardiovascular clinical therapies
  • Ability to instruct/coach others on use of products and clinical applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements
  • Solid MS Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel

 

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business/Marketing, a health care related field, or a four-year degree with health care/clinical experience; MBA or MS preferred.

 

Experience:

  • 1 to 5 years relevant medical device marketing experience
