LivaNova is hiring a Sales Director Brazil to join our LATAM Team. The ideal person will lead the strategic efforts to grow profitable sales in the assigned markets and segments. Develop solid relationships and strong partnership between assigned accounts, leadership, distributors and working teams.

Role purpose and key responsibilities:

  • Drive execution of the corporate strategy by championing core objectives and making sure that financial and commercial targets are met.
  • Inspire and lead their team to develop close relationships with stakeholders, such as physicians and hospital leaders, raising awareness to emerging customer trends in alignment with the corporate procedures.
  • The Sales Director is the voice of the organization at the regional level, both internally and externally.

 

Major Accountabilities:

  • Identify market/customer trends, unmet market needs and product opportunities in the markets where LivaNova capabilities can create value for our customers.
  • Develop sales strategies and pursue the implementation with current and potential new customers.
  • Communicate the business strategy to management, supporting functions and customers in a clear and compelling way that creates alignment and drives execution.
  • Build strong relationships with customers at all levels, including C-suite, to grow sales and manage existing opportunities.
  • Develop positive working relationships with all internal disciplines, teams, and management.
  • Work with customers and distributors (where applicable) leading the team to assess their needs and actions when needed.
  • Ensure that broad organizational and market strategies are translated into clear objectives, metrics, and action plans.
  • Be accountable in analyzing sales trends and results for the whole team within the region.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development for the regional commercial team to attract, retain and build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Identify opportunities for volume growth in close collaboration with the leadership team in the region.
  • Keep abreast of market dynamics, competitive issues, technology and projects and establish growth strategies based on such knowledge.
  • Lead by example on business ethics, behaves in ways that are consistent with espoused values, regulations and principles. Behaves with personal integrity and compliance, and encourages others to do the same.
  • Be accountable for developing a high-performing sales team through effective training programs as product knowledge and selling techniques are key success factors for sales professionals within the medical device industry.

 

Ideal Background:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • MBA or Master’s degree is highly recommended.

 

Languages:
  • English: Fluency
  • Portuguese: Fluency

 

Experience/Professional requirement:
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Sales, Marketing or related fields.
  • Medical Devices experience is required.

 

Proven experience in the following areas:

  • Plan and manage budget for the region, understanding the financial and operational variables that affect margins.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships and communications at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate extensive and proven leadership experience.
  • Manage execution. Set and drive targets and communicate specific goals to their teams.
  • Solve problems within their span of control instead of escalating all issues, and be mindful on Return on Investment.
  • Coach and empower first line Managers.
  • Lead and promote change. Driving consistent corporate messages, share tough feedback and mobilize people.
