Job Responsibilities:
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
General Description and Duties:

- Collect, organize, and analyze data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze data collected and record results
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
- Perform weekly work order closures and analyze variances between actual manufacturing costs and standard costs.
- Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
- Analyze audits of costs and prepare reports.
- Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly COGS and inventory-related reports.
- Maintain Cost Accounting System.
- Prepare journal entries and workbooks for month end close and inventory reconciliations.
- Conduct physical inventories and prepare monthly cycle count reports.
- Reconcile finished goods inventories.
- Assist with preparation and execution of annual standard cost roll.
- Assist with deliverables for monthly/quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by internal and external auditors.
- Prepare ad hoc reporting and analyses on cost accounting questions and assist with special projects as requested.
Projects and Other Duties:
- Other projects as requested by the manager.
Position Qualifications
- Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience with QAD or MES a plus.
- Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Experience:
- 3 years of Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment
Salary:

For California, the base pay range for this position is $86,000 to $96,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
