Summary of position:
This position is responsible for responding to, managing, and negotiating Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP) , budgets, and subsequent contracts relating to the delivery of Cambridge Cognition services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
Proposal and Budget Management:
- Prepare and review clinical trial proposals and budgets for submission to sponsors.
- To obtain a clear understanding of customer needs and requirements to meet each customer unique requirements set out by the sales lead.
- Working closely with the sales lead, scientific, marketing, and operational colleagues to develop high quality proposals.
- Lead, facilitate and add value to strategy and deal review meetings.
- Participate in client calls relating to requests for proposals, budget discussions, Requests for Information as needed.
- Ensure information relating to proposals, contracts and RFI’s are uploaded/incorporated into and maintained in relevant databases and Customer relationship management system (CRM).
- Take an active role in departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
Contract Management:
- Draft, revise and finalise start up agreements (SUA) and statements of work (SOW).
- Coordinate with Operations, Project Management, Legal, Business Development, Finance, and, where required, the leadership team to draft and revise contracts in line with the organisational contract approval matrix.
- Ensure contract terms and budgets align with project objectives and are compliant with company policies.
Requests for Information:
- Review and coordinate RFI responses in line with sponsor expectations by working with subject matter experts across the business to provide technically accurate and commercially compelling responses.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a clinical research organisation that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the designated tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience in at least two of the following areas: contract development, proposal development and budgeting.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data.
- Skilled and experienced in developing compelling proposals.
- Solid understanding of commercial/financial principles and best practice
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience with CRM’s.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
