Software Engineer – Frontend

Job Description

We are looking for a talented frontend engineer to join CereHealth’s development team. This is a unique opportunity to join a small collaborative group in a startup environment as we begin to scale. Your primary focus will be to design and implement user facing features and components within CereHealth’s web-based medical software applications. The tools and interfaces you build will serve as the face of the application to enable medical professionals to enhance their workflow efficiencies across the entire patient care continuum.

Responsibilities

• Implement efficient, elegant, and responsive frontend features using React
• Develop, maintain, and document high quality, reusable JavaScript code.
• Debug software or service issues reported by users and author patches.
• Collaborate with other development and product team members to design and scope application features to meet business and user needs.
• Collaborate with engineers across the stack and give feedback, advice, and support to drive project progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or comparable certification + experience equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience designing and building complex frontend features in single-page applications using React and associated technologies (React Router DOM, Redux, React Hooks, etc.).
• Proficient in modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience using modern web development tools and frameworks like Webpack, Babel, NPM, etc.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and relational database services (Postgres).
• Experience utilizing various AWS tools and infrastructure.
• Experience with code versioning tools (Git).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience developing web applications with live updates utilizing pub/sub tools (Redis, WebSockets, etc.).
• Familiarity with healthcare data transfer standards like FHIR, HL7, and DICOM.
• Familiarity with backend technologies like Node, Express, and/or Ruby on Rails for occasional crossstack development.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and Graph Database technologies
• Experience implementing advanced data and image visualization features in the browser using tools like D3, Three.js, VTK.js, Cornerstone, HTML5, WebGL, WebGPU, etc.

Compensation Information

This is a full-time opportunity. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, vision, dental, 401K, PTO and stock options. The salary band for this role ranges from $80,000-$125,000, depending on experience.
