Saluda Medical designs and develops advanced neuromodulation systems for the next generation of implantable stimulation devices. Reporting to the SVP Product Development, and working closely with the Product Development Management Team, the Project Manager is responsible for effectively coordinating, supporting and managing key product development, sustaining and engineering activities in a manner that assures scope, schedule and cost targets are met.
The Project Manager will:
- Develop project plans for key new product and sustaining engineering activities.
- Collaborate with functional management to coordinate resources across multiple disciplines to ensure projects are adequately resourced and are delivered to specification on time and on budget.
- Create and maintain reports on the progress of activities against set targets and provide management with timely and relevant information on key issues, opportunities and decisions required.
- Hold the highest standards of quality and compliance within the quality system.
Accountabilities and Associated Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the senior management team, prioritize and resource key product development initiatives.
- Secure commitment from different stakeholders to deliver according to plan.
- Guide the successful completion of projects through collaboration and strong communication across all functions of the business.
- Manage competing project constraints including scope, time, risk and resources.
- Drive tactical project execution of projects and ensure delivery is to quality outcomes.
- Routinely report on the status of projects relative to targets.
- Foster strong working relationships with team members and work to optimise productivity.
- Prepare reports for management and Board of Directors as required.
- Assist senior management as required in coordinating and managing the key activities contained in the corporate plan. This may involve project managing some key projects that are outside of the product development / engineering sphere.
- Other duties as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years working in program or project management role.
- Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP).
- Excellent organizational skills to manage and track deliverables of multiple projects.
- Broad knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong influencing skills and the mindset to get things done.
- Ability to conduct and direct projects in a regulated industry, preferably under ISO 13485 and regulatory bodies (eg. FDA, TGA, CE Mark) compliant design and development procedures.
- Can point to tangible examples of reporting and program measurement and evaluation. Demonstrates integrity, strives for excellence in her/his work, and has experience of leading others to new levels of effectiveness and programmatic impact.
- Ability to work evening hours collaborating with global team
Desirable Requirements:
- Financial knowledge and experience in managing functional budget and supplier relationships.
- University qualifications in relevant field.
- Background in engineering / engineer qualified.
