A Day in the Life
Responsibilities will include the following and others may be assigned:
- Serve as a strategic communications counselor to the leaders of the Cardiac Rhythm Management U.S. Region. and to leaders of select Cardiac Rhythm Management functions as needed, including the Implantables Therapy Development Center (TDC), Patient Care Systems (PCS), and others as needed.
- In collaboration with the vice president of communications for Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), develop and implement short- and long-term executive and employee communications programs for the U.S. Region.
- Work directly with the leadership of CRM U.S. Region to develop and implement executive communications plans.
- Lead the creation and implementation of internal strategic communication activities, programs, and content, focusing on organizational health and effective employee communications in areas of responsibility.
- Liaise with partners in CRM Communications, Marketing, PCS, and other teams as needed, coordinate select field-related communications across CRM, bundling communications where possible and relevant to ensure the most effective cadence.
- Write, edit, and manage the review processes for key documents and other internal communications, as needed, for CRM U.S. Region leadership and select functions as needed.
- Effectively and inclusively liaise with the entire CRM Communications Team, and with leadership teams for the CRM U.S. Region, TDC, Marketing, PCS, and others as needed.
- Analyze the effectiveness of the U.S. Region internal communications initiatives and improve existing processes and operating mechanisms, where needed.
- In collaboration with CRM partners including human resources and vice president of communications, develop and implement change management communications that inform and align employees in areas of responsibility, including service transformation.
- Maintain strong relationships with key CRM partners, navigating various perspectives to gain alignment on approach, messaging, and other components of successful communications activities for the U.S. Region and select functions.
- Shape messages and leverage communications channels to effectively inform, align and engage diverse audiences, including 1,500+ field employees and employees in select functions.
- Work closely with vice president of communications to manage issues related to the U.S. Field, TDC, and PCS.
- Demonstrate strong skills in organizational communications to create communication channels and provide insights and information at both the strategic and tactical levels.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of progressive responsibility in the communications field, in either a business environment or agency and 7+ years of people management experience, OR Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience with 7+ years of people management experience.
Travel up to 20 percent of the time
Nice to Have
- Experience with creating and implementing employee communications plans, including change management.
- Experience as a thought partner and communications advisor to business leaders .
- Strong written and interpersonal communications skills essential.
- Experience and demonstrated skill with stakeholder management and strategic communications counseling.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and shift focus adeptly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with negotiations.
- Experience with issues management and reputation management.
- Experience effectively managing multiple, changing priorities and complex situations.
