The Role:

Cerebral is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Brand Manager to join our team. As a Senior Brand Manager at Cerebral, you will play a crucial role in shaping and strengthening our brand identity, while ensuring its consistency and effectiveness across all channels. You will drive our organic social strategy, PR strategy, partnership strategy, influencer strategy, and other brand awareness strategies. Additionally, you will be the voice of the consumer delivering customer and category insights. Finally, you will also contribute to the go-to-market strategy for brand marketing initiatives and product launches. 

 

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, social, strategic communications, and/or public relations required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field equivalent is preferred. 
  • Proven experience as a Brand Manager or similar role, preferably in the health & wellness, telehealth or the digital healthcare industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable brand strategies.
  • Experience directing and collaborating with internal and external partners to translate brand strategies into consumer-facing outputs. 
  • Experience in developing and managing creative and communications strategy.
  • Ability to identify and apply critical consumer insights to brand strategy, with experience applying varying research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) to the process.
  • Experience in PR and media relations, with a track record of securing press coverage and managing media relationships.
  • Expertise in developing and executing organic social media strategies across various platforms.
  • Proven experience in content creation, with the ability to produce compelling and engaging content across different mediums.
  • Captivating storyteller and creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Culture junkie with a finger on the pulse of cultural moments and social trends.

How your skills and passion will come to life at Cerebral:

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning: Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with Cerebral’s overall business objectives and target audience. Define and communicate the unique value proposition of Cerebral, differentiating it from competitors and establishing a strong market presence.
  • Brand Identity, Assets & Guidelines: Establish and manage our brand guidelines, ensuring all marketing related communications and assets are aligned with our mission and create a consistent brand presence/tone of voice throughout the user experience. Oversee efforts to expand our brand asset pack, including photoshoots, creation of illustrations & infographics, etc. 
  • PR and Media Relations: Develop the brand narrative and maintain relationships with relevant media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure press coverage and positive brand mentions. Coordinate and manage PR activities, including press releases, media interviews, and events.
  • Organic Social Media: Develop and execute a social media strategy that enhances brand visibility, engagement, and community building. Create and curate compelling content for social media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging and relevance to the social discourse surrounding #mentalhealth.
  • Advocacy: Develop and execute influencer strategies (e.g. celebrities, micro-influencers, etc.), as well as other tactics for activating the Cerebral community, and increasing positive word of mouth (WOM).
  • Brand Partnerships: Drive our partnerships strategy, identifying brand partners that will further our mission while driving meaningful brand awareness and growth
  • Content Creation: Lead the development of engaging and informative content across various channels, including editorial, social media, advertising and email marketing. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality content that educates, inspires, and resonates with our target audience.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product to drive go-to-market strategy, act as a brand ambassador and liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, and ensure brand guidelines are adhered to in all collaborations and partnerships.
  • Brand Intelligence: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, consumer insights, and opportunities for brand growth and differentiation. Identify research needs, execute research studies and projects in order to support the brand and marketing efforts. 
  • Measurement: Establish and maintain key performance indicators that ensure brand health and growth targets are achieved effectively and efficiently. Monitor and analyze brand performance metrics, including brand awareness, brand equity, share of voice, and customer perception, and provide actionable insights to optimize brand strategies and initiatives.

The national base salary range (OR the national hourly range for nonexempt positions) offered for this position is outlined below. Cerebral is committed to equal pay for equal work; however, business reasons may dictate variations in pay that are attributed to objective factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications and years of experience. Total compensation includes base salary and may include an annual performance bonus and equity/stock options.

 

National Base Salary Range: $130,000—$140,000 USD
